Accurate Colour time after time
Bristol’s True Colour Matching System can create your own unique colour. It will match a flat solid colour sample (no less than the size of a 20 cent coin), and tint that colour into the product of your choice. This system is great for matching, fabric, tiles and other features. If you need more of the same colour down the track, let us know so we can save it for you for up to four months, providing a consistent match for when you next purchase.

Bristol can also tint our paints to match most competitor colours, with over 50 000 popular colour formulas in our database.

Bristol WeatherTough Exterior is the perfect choice for any climate. It is the 100% acrylic water based exterior paint that’s got the performance you want and the toughness you’d expect. It offers superior UV protection & dirt shedding properties. It’s the ultimate in durability, all backed by Bristol’s 12 year guarantee* Exterior surfaces such as timber, weatherboard, cement render, brick, concrete, fibre cement, zincalume and galvanised iron. Coverage: Up to 16m² per litre. Gloss Level: 10 – 15%.

Bristol EasyLiving Interior is the perfect choice to minimise your overall environmental footprint. This water based interior paint is not only low in VOC and has less odour, making it both better for you and the environment. Ideal for interior walls such as bedrooms, living rooms or in areas which get a lot of traffic. Coverage: Up to 16m² per litre. Gloss Level: 5 – 10%.

Bristol Supreme Enamel, a premium, oil-based paint is the perfect choice when searching for a tough and hard wearing traditional enamel. It easily wipes clean, resists abrasions and knocks and repels moisture. Ideal for interior surfaces subject to the torture test, such as doors, windows and trim or even the kids toys. Coverage: Up to 16m² per litre. Gloss Level: 85%.

Painting check list
The most important thing to arm yourself with before you get started with your decorating plans is the right equipment.At Bristol we have a complete selection of paint accessories and tools for every job. Our range will assist you in preparing a surface, painting or patching, no job is left untouched.Our stores carry a large variety of brushes, rollers, scrapers, drop sheets, fillers and ladders – in fact everything you’ll need to be a great home decorator.Here’s a handy checklist – have you got everything you need?

Do’s and Don’ts

Do

1. Make sure surface is clean and dry.
2. Work new brushes back and forth across your fingers to remove loose bristles.
3. Follow instructions on the paint can for application.
4. Load the brush evenly and sufficiently by dipping it only halfway into the can and tapping it against the top edge of the can to remove any excess.
5. Apply paint evenly and fully with smooth, short strokes.
6. Paint from the top surface and work down to the bottom.
7. If painting timber, brush in the direction of the grain..

Don't

1. Don’t stir the paint with a brush, use a stirring stick.
2. Don’t let brushes soak in water, solvent or paint for prolonged periods of time. The brush will become floppy.
3. Don’t use a large brush to paint small pipes or narrow strips as this will cause the brush to fishtail (split).
